The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have announced new COVID-19 testing requirements for all persons entering the United States from abroad. These new measures go into effect on Jan. 26 and will require a viral test be administered within the three days prior to traveling.

COVID-19 testing  

Beginning Monday, Jan. 18, all University COVID-19 testing through Friday, Jan. 22, will take place at the Mountainlair in the Gold and Blue Ballrooms. The WVU Student Rec Center testing site will be temporarily closed while the facility is prepared for increased COVID-19 vaccinations in the coming weeks. The WVU Student Rec Center testing site will reopen on Monday, Jan. 25, in the lower gym.

As the country prepares for the upcoming presidential inauguration and following the recent events that occurred at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, it’s important for the WVU community to be informed and aware of the resources that are available on campus. University Police is working closely with the Morgantown Police Department and other local agencies to remain apprised of any developments that may affect the campus community.
