COVID-19 testing to be held at the Mountainlair Jan. 18-22, Rec Center testing site to reopen Jan. 25 in the lower gym

COVID-19 testing

Beginning Monday, Jan. 18, all University COVID-19 testing through Friday, Jan. 22, will take place at the Mountainlair in the Gold and Blue Ballrooms.

The WVU Student Rec Center testing site will be temporarily closed while the facility is prepared for increased COVID-19 vaccinations in the coming weeks. The WVU Student Rec Center testing site will reopen on Monday, Jan. 25, in the lower gym. All appointments made for baseline or ongoing testing during the week of Jan. 18 will be made at the Mountainlair site.

Despite this change, community COVID-19 testing provided by the Monongalia County Health Department will be held as originally scheduled at the WVU Student Rec Center on Monday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

As a reminder, Morgantown students taking in-person courses and/or using on-campus resources (e.g., libraries, dining facilities, transportation, etc.) are required to receive a negative COVID-19 test result before spring classes start on Tuesday, Jan. 19, or they will not be allowed into the classroom for instruction.

Employees working on the Morgantown campus this spring in a full-time or hybrid capacity also must be tested for COVID-19. Visit myhousing.wvu.edu to schedule a test.
