Appalachian Mind Health Promo  

The Appalachian Mind Health Initiative is a research study to see if electronic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a type of online therapy, is a good treatment option for people living with depression in rural communities. Adults living in West Virginia or Kentucky with a diagnosis of depression and just beginning treatment may be eligible to participate.

Four West Virginia University researchers will take strategic approaches to studying the Mountain State’s vast water resources from aquatic life to the economic effects of environmental restoration and measuring the sources of erosion to dealing with acid mine drainage in short- and long-term situations.
