Amy Cyphert, a lecturer at the WVU College of Law, received the Privacy Papers for Policymakers Award from the Future of Privacy Forum for “Tinker-ing with Machine Learning: The Legality and Consequences of Online Surveillance of Students,” which was published in the Nevada Law Journal in 2020.

WV KIDS COUNT, in partnership with WVU Medicine Children’s and the West Virginia Department of Education, released an issue brief on the rising numbers of children and youth experiencing homelessness across the state of West Virginia. This issue brief, “Counting West Virginia’s Rising Numbers of Homeless Children,” discusses the need to address youth homelessness as a public health problem.
