The University is asking students, faculty and staff to limit travel and take necessary precautions to prevent contracting or spreading COVID-19 as the University’s spring holiday approaches. Travel increases your chances of getting and spreading COVID-19. Airports, bus stations, train stations, hotels, food stops and rest stops are all places travelers can be exposed to the virus in the air and on surfaces. These are also spaces where it can be difficult to practice physical distancing.

To provide greater alignment across the services and support we provide and simplify how we operate, the HR Partner organization recently transitioned to a four-team structure rather than five teams.

Faculty Fellows 2021  

Next year, Honors students will have the opportunity to re-examine their world in new, interdisciplinary ways with courses taught by the Honors College’s fifth cohort of faculty fellows. This year’s Honors College Faculty Fellows will teach courses that will allow students to make new connections and look beyond the common narrative.

The WVU Press continues to celebrate the success of Deesha Philyaw’s “The Secret Lives of Church Ladies.” Published by the WVU Press in September 2020, the book continues to draw national attention for its short stories about black women, church and sexuality, this time from Hollywood.

Social work and public administration student Matthew Witt knew early in his college career that he wanted to dedicate his life to helping people navigate through challenges. Growing up, Witt recognized the daily superheroes who helped his family overcome challenging health and financial situations.
