From severe weather events to crimes on campus and important safety updates, West Virginia University uses its WVU Alert system to keep faculty and staff informed about emergencies and incidents on or near the Morgantown campus. WVU’s campuses in Keyser and Beckley have similar but separate systems.

Catherine Buswell Award  

The WVU Council for Women’s Concerns is accepting nominations for the Mary Catherine Buswell Award. The Buswell Award, established in 1978, honors an employee, student or community member who has provided outstanding service to women at WVU.

Today (Feb. 22) marks the start of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, a yearly event dedicated to spreading the message of hope and providing resources to those in need. The WVU Collegiate Recovery Program offers support to faculty, staff and students in recovery from any addiction or mental health concern, including eating disorders.

Student Ambassadors  

Nominations are being sought for the Fall 2021 cohort of WVU’s Presidential Student Ambassadors Program, which selects 10 freshmen or sophomores from the Morgantown campus who exemplify Mountaineer values and are committed to academic excellence and campus engagement.
