Winter Intersession enrollment has quadrupled since its launch in 2017 by WVU Online. Nearly 1,000 students enrolled in the 2022-23 winter break session earning one to five credits.

To support graduate students navigating the balance between their studies, work and personal life, WVU is instituting a new policy for graduate assistants who experience a medical emergency, childbirth or adoption, or personal trauma, such as a death in their immediate family.

As part of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Inclusive Excellence 3 initiative, WVU will receive $475,000 in grant funding to support local work and research to improve the introductory undergraduate science experience in collaboration with other institutions nationwide.
The transportable lactation suite is currently located at the Coliseum’s Mountaineer Gate and will be moved to Milan Puskar Stadium’s North Entrance each football season. WVU employees may use the pod all year.
