Encourage students who are interested in expanding their worldview and gaining valuable international experience to attend the Education Abroad Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 8) in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.
The WVU Press and the Department of English Creative Writing program will host author Mo Daviau and alum Kanza Javed for a joint campus event at 7:30 p.m. Monday (Oct. 13) in Colson Hall, Room 130.
The series will open with “Pulsars: Nature’s Finest Clocks” featuring Duncan Lorimer, Eberly Distinguished Chair for Academic Excellence and professor of physics and astronomy, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 in the WVU Planetarium and Observatory.
Katarzyna Maniszewska, an expert in international relations specializing in security threats, will present “Radicalization at High Speed: Terrorism and the Media Age of Artificial Intelligence” at 5 p.m. Oct. 15.
A study led by Zheng Dai, assistant director of health analytics at the WVU Health Affairs Institute, suggests consuming alcohol with fentanyl and other drugs may explain, in part, why more men than women die from unintentional overdoses.
