The WVU LGBTQ+ Center invites faculty, staff, students and community members to attend our free, family-friendly annual Welcome Back Event Aug. 26 from 5 - 7 p.m. This year, we will host our event outdoors, in the closed-off cul-de-sac between Dadisman and Stalnaker Halls, right beside the LGBTQ+ Center.

Mountaineer Nation Day 2021  

Saturday, Sept. 4, is Mountaineer Nation Day, as the Mountaineers travel to College Park to take on the Maryland Terrapins. #WVUMND is a 24-hour period to celebrate all things gold and blue around the world.

Due to a lack of staffing, WVU Dining Services is temporarily closing the Waterfront Café location at One Waterfront Place, effective today (Aug. 19). A reopening date for the venue has not been determined at this time. The Lyon's Den location at Lyon Tower also has reduced its hours of operation to evening hours only (7 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily).

COVID-19 testing  

West Virginia University in partnership with the Monongalia County Health Department is expanding free on-campus COVID-19 community testing opportunities. WVU also plans to begin weekly random COVID-19 sample testing next week at the Student Rec Center among certain groups of students, faculty and staff who are on campus and have not been vaccinated or have not verified their vaccination with the University.
