The Alpine Tower & Giant Swing Guided Tour will give participants the opportunity to climb, swing and explore the great outdoors at nightfall. This guided tour will be offered Oct. 23rd and 24 and during Halloween Weekend Oct. 29 and 31 beginning at dusk. This guided tour is $20 and includes the cost of transportation and snacks.

WVU's New Student Orientation will welcome students virtually for the spring 2022 term. This online event includes a required module and a meeting with an academic advisor. All incoming freshmen are required to participate in NSO; incoming transfer students also are encouraged to attend.
Beginning Monday (Oct.18), West Virginia University’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics at the WVU Student Recreation Center will move to Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m. The clinics previously were held Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. Tomorrow’s (Friday, Oct. 15) clinic scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Student Rec Center’s lower gym will continue as planned.
As we reach the halfway point of the 2021 WVU United Way Campaign, we have received generous donations of more than $100,000 so far. The campaign will continue through Oct. 29, and we challenge our campus community to raise another $100k during the second half of the month. Travel is difficult right now. But kids in Wirt County will soon receive a “passport” to explore locally grown fruits and vegetables. It’s all part of Kids Market @ The Store, a free program from the WVU Extension Service Family Nutrition Program supported by the Sisters Health Foundation.
