In front of a record 4,629 fans at Kendrick Family Ballpark, the baseball team defeated Pitt, 11-1, in eight innings Wednesday (April 2).
The members of the wrestling team being recognized by the National Wrestling Coaches Association are redshirt sophomore Ian Bush, senior Michael Dolan, fifth-year student Caleb Dowling, fifth-year student Peyton Hall, freshman Mason Kernan, freshman Rune Lawrence, fifth-year student Tommy Maddox and redshirt junior Jace Schafer.
Recognizing members of the swimming and diving teams, the College Sports Communicators organization has selected juniors Elysa Grossman and Abigail Sullivan and seniors Sarah Krusinski and Mia Walters for the women’s team, and sophomore Owen Recker, junior Max Nielsen and seniors Hayden Apel and Justin Heimes for the men’s team.
The Gold-Blue Spring Showcase starts at 1 p.m. Saturday (April 5) at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. Admission is free, but all fans must claim a ticket for entry. The Almost Heaven Village will open at 10 a.m. with a full morning of activities planned.
The gymnastics team continues postseason competition today (April 2) during the 2025 NCAA Pennsylvania Regional Championships in University Park, Pennsylvania, with a First Round meet against Maryland.
