After posting a pair of top scores on floor exercise at the NCAA Regional Championships, senior Anna Leigh with the gymnastics team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week.

Sophomore Lily Haught finished first in the women’s 400 meters after posting a personal best time of 55.03 seconds Saturday (April 5) at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia. In the 4x400 meter relay, sophomores Cate Pickering, Lily Haught and Kishay Rowe, and freshman Carlene Temple claimed first with a time of 3:46.43.
The baseball team swept a doubleheader from Utah Saturday (April 5) at Kendrick Family Ballpark and, as a result, swept the series. The Mountaineers took game one, 6-4, before winning 14-4 in eight innings in the second game.
Running back Clay Ash, a sophomore from Leesburg, Virginia, is the winner of the 2025 Tommy Nickolich Memorial Award — an annual award that recognizes a walk-on football team member for attitude and work ethic.
Ross Hodge was officially introduced as the University’s 24th head men’s basketball coach Thursday (April 3).
