Marian Longstreth, a WVU School of Nursing faculty member, has received the 2022 Nomination for Platinum Level Nurse of the Year at WVU Medicine. She was nominated by her peers at WVU Medicine for all her hard work who specifically noted her Doctor of Nursing Practice project work.

Following a two-year pandemic-induced hiatus, the WVU Cancer Institute’s Spring Gala raised more than $840,000 to aid cancer care and research in West Virginia. More than 330 supporters attended the 35th Spring Gala, held April 29-30 at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs.
In keeping with the annual tradition of recognizing its outstanding students, faculty, staff and community partners, the West Virginia University School of Public Health held its annual year-end awards ceremony on Thursday, April 28, in the Health Sciences Center Fukushima Auditorium.
This week’s Department of Medicine grand rounds will feature a presentation “How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Teaching Rounds; Reducing Faculty Anxiety by Improving Faculty Teaching Skills” from visiting professors Drs. Andrew Orr, Margot E. Cohen and Ashok Linganna tomorrow (May 6) at 8 a.m. on Zoom.
WVU School of Nursing Keyser Campus sophomore students recently completed two simulations as part of their NSG 212 course — one on the care of a post-op patient with diabetes and another on the care of a patient with seizures who suffered a head injury.
