WVU Research Computing will host a three-day workshop on deep learning August 8-10. Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend either online or in person. The workshop is not oriented toward specialists in computer science or leading-edge researchers in the area.

The National Institutes of Health is funding the study of long COVID’s ramifications on pediatric patients and their families under the direction of Kathryn Moffett and Lesley Cottrell from the WVU School of Medicine, part of the NIH Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery or “RECOVER” Initiative.
Liza Wan, biology honors student and Morgantown native, will be a temporary addition to the School of Dentistry’s Department of Orthodontics because of a unique opportunity granted through the Office of Undergraduate Research’s Research Apprentice Program.
The Office of Undergraduate Research will host the 14th annual Summer Undergrad Research Symposium Thursday (July 28) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center. The Summer Symposium is an in-person poster session open to WVU students, students in WVU summer research programs and undergraduate students from the region who wish to showcase their summer research and creative efforts.
Groups of three adults are being sought to participate in a research study examining an intervention to increase physical activity in adults who are currently physically inactive. Participants must wear a Fitbit for at least 15 weeks and attend two 30-minute sessions in the Life Sciences Building. There are monetary incentives.
