Since President Gee gave his charge in December 2020, WVU’s Office of the Provost has been leading the transformation of the institution’s academic programming and practices to position the University to thrive in a challenging higher education landscape. This week, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Maryanne Reed announced the next set of priorities moving forward as well as opportunities for the campus community to learn more about these efforts. The first Academic Transformation Campus Conversation is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 27, 11 a.m. to noon.

West Virginia University will resume its public dashboard this week to track and compile COVID-19 information collected on the Morgantown, Beckley and Keyser campuses.

“From the Mountain: Malcolm Davis and the Art of Shino” will open at the Art Museum of West Virginia University from Jan. 22 through May 15 in the McGee Gallery. Featuring more than 70 objects on loan from private collections, this exhibition celebrates Davis’ artistic commitment to both beauty and function through a diversity of forms designed for everyday use.
