During the last six months, the WVU Alumni Association has begun a strategic alignment with University Relations and Enrollment Management. Through this partnership, we are excited to more effectively support the institution’s strategic priority of enhancing connections and providing valuable programming opportunities for alumni of all ages in 2022 and beyond.
As part of this strengthened partnership, the Alumni Association is organizing a resource group of professionals who regularly engage, serve and communicate with alumni and friends.
This Key Alumni Relations Group will meet monthly to discuss ongoing strategies and initiatives targeting WVU’s 200,000+ living graduates and share relevant information about upcoming events, campaigns, communications, and opportunities. The group will also regularly collaborate through Microsoft Teams as new alumni engagement topics, partnerships, programs and priorities emerge.
Involvement with the Key Alumni Relations Group is open to:
Those who design programs and events to reach WVU alumni.
Those who regularly communicate and create content for WVU alumni.
Those who wish to collaborate more with the WVU Alumni Association and its network of geographic chapters and interest groups.
Those who would like to learn more about the national and local trends in alumni relations.
The first meeting of the Key Alumni Relations Group will take place virtually Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 9 a.m.
If you, or perhaps someone you lead, would benefit from participating in this group, please share this information and connect with Meridith Balas at Meridith.Balas@mail.wvu.edu to be placed on the listserv. More details about the first meeting will be shared soon.
