As part of efforts to enhance laboratory operations for faculty and staff who purchase and/or inventory chemicals, the Environmental Health and Safety and Procurement, Contracting and Payment Services teams are introducing Research Materials Management as West Virginia University’s standard chemical procurement and chemical inventory system. Following a successful pilot of the platform at Health Sciences, WVU is expanding RMM to all faculty and staff on the Morgantown campus beginning Monday, Feb. 21. The system will be available alongside the current supplier punchouts.

This Key Alumni Relations Group will meet monthly to discuss ongoing strategies and initiatives targeting WVU’s 200,000+ living graduates and share relevant information about upcoming events, campaigns, communications, and opportunities. College of Media students Duncan Slade and Gillian Wanosky each placed 14th in the 62nd annual Hearst Journalism Awards competition for stories published in 2021. Wanosky won in the television features category for a “WVU News” story on a Morgantown typewriter collector and Slade won in the feature writing category for an article published in Mountain State Spotlight.

WVU Medicine has entered into a three-year agreement to serve as a satellite site for the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Master of Diagnostic Cytology Degree Program. Cytology is the study of cells, and cytotechnologists are disease detectives who study the cells to identify minute abnormalities in cell structure.
Keyser Campus uses escape room to teach nursing students critical thinking, clinical judgment skills
As part of the NURS 312 class, Keyser Campus junior nursing students recently participated in a sepsis escape room to help them to learn how to make clinical judgments according to the patient's condition.
