After a deserving and rejuvenating summer, channel your inspiration and creativity in learning how to play an instrument and mastering this craft with music lessons, group classes and ensembles through the Community Music Program. Classes begin Aug. 29 and instruction will take place through Dec. 18.

The Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources welcomes 16 new faculty members to kick off the 2022-23 academic year. Dedication to bettering the Mountain State earned six West Virginia residents the Hazel Ruby McQuain Graduate Scholarship helping them to continue graduate study in their chosen fields. The scholarship program, administered by the West Virginia University Office of Graduate Education and Life, honors the legacy of its late namesake — Hazel Ruby McQuain.
The ceremony signifies a student's entry into pharmacy school and a commitment to becoming a future health care professional who will develop, deliver and monitor medications to improve patient health, well-being and quality of life.
Tara Hulsey, WVU School of Nursing dean and E. Jane Martin Endowed professor, will again serve as president of the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses. Teresa Ritchie, coordinator of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, has been re-elected to the board secretary position.
