High school students who are interested in exploring nursing as a career are invited to attend the free event June 7. Students can experience what it is like to be a nursing student by participating in hands-on learning opportunities, attending a mock lecture and more.

The Center for Excellence in Disabilities Family to Family program has launched “Compassionate Care” to foster empathy, understanding and a holistic approach to pediatric care by highlighting the vital role caregivers play in a child’s medical journey. Faculty are encouraged to use this podcast series within their curriculum and/or share it with students to help them gain perspective.
Dr. Irfan Zeb will present “Role of Cardiac CT in Updated Chest Pain Guidelines” from 8-9 a.m. April 11 at WVU Medicine University Town Centre, Rooms 1A and 1B, and on Microsoft Teams.
WVU Student Health is adjusting operating hours and services to better fit the needs of the University community. On May 16, Student Health will close for the summer and will reopen at the start of the fall semester, Aug. 18, by appointment.
The School of Public Health Master of Health Administration program and the WVU Graduate Chapter of Upsilon Phi Delta will host a virtual Administrative Grand Rounds titled “Ensuring Your Community’s Successful Emergency Preparedness” from noon to 1 p.m. tomorrow (April 4) on Zoom.
