Elvera Jenkins, who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 35 and found her passion while working at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, created a beautiful moment during the May 2024 graduation ceremony when she walked with her daughter across the stage.

The 17th annual Heather Miller Golf Tournament was recently held at Oglebay Crispin Golf Center to honor the memory of Heather Miller, a School of Nursing student who died in a 2008 car crash. The event raises money to support scholarships for aspiring nursing students, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
