The Department of English will host Don James McLaughlin, an assistant professor of 19th-century American literature at the University of Tulsa, as he presents “In the Doghouse: Phobia’s Metaphor in Early American Politics” at 4 p.m. April 6 in Colson Hall, Room 130.

Bringing together a wide range of global traditions in one thrilling evening of live performance, the concert will take place in two parts at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 10 at the Canady Creative Arts Center.
