Faculty, staff, students and community members from across West Virginia are invited to attend a special evening with U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo Tuesday, April 5, at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms or virtually via Zoom.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to join this virtual event presented by WELLWVU Tuesday, April 19, from 7-8:30 p.m. for an opportunity to learn about the current state of cannabis in its many forms, including both the risks and benefits of personal use and legalization.
The WVU Dependent Education Scholarship deadline to submit an application for summer 2022 is April 1. Applications for summer are not required if a student dependent has already been approved for the current spring semester. The deadline for fall 2022 is May 1. Students interested in fall should apply regardless if awarded the scholarship in past academic terms.
On Thursday, March 31, parking lot ST-6 at the President’s House will be closed. The parking lot will also be partially closed on Monday, April 4.
West Virginia University student leaders have joined the Advisory Council of Students, which is composed of student government representatives from each of West Virginia’s public colleges and universities, in launching the West Virginia Green Bandana Initiative to shine a brighter light on student mental health. Through the initiative, students who complete mental health training this spring receive green bandanas that, when displayed on their backpacks or elsewhere, signal to other students that they are open to talking and are a source of support.
