Learn about the current state of Cannabis at WELLWVU's 420 Panel

420 Panel

Faculty, staff and students are invited to join this virtual event presented by WELLWVU Tuesday, April 19, from 7-8:30 p.m. for an opportunity to learn about the current state of cannabis in its many forms, including both the risks and benefits of personal use and legalization. 

A panel of experts will discuss research efforts, legal and legislative issues, agriculture and industry, substance misuse issues, mental and physical health concerns and answer your anonymously submitted questions.

Attendees can anonymously submit questions or cannabis topics you would like to learn about upon registration.

Expert panelists include:

  • Jim Lange - Director of The Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Prevention and Recovery 

  • Danielle Walker - WV Legislature, House of Delegates 

  • Dr. Kenneth Finn - International Academy on the Science and Impacts of Cannabis, Editor of “Cannabis in Medicine: An Evidence-Based Approach” 

  • Ru Johnson – Found and Owner of Roux Black Consulting (Branding and marketing strategy for cannabis and music industry) 

  • Susan Weiss - Director, Division of Extramural Research at the National Institute on Drug Abuse 

  • Kenny Morrison – Founder and CEO of VCC Brands, President of California Cannabis Manufacturers Association
