Middle school, high school and college students interested in learning more about the field of veterinary medicine are invited to register for the annual Veterinary Career Day beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Erickson Alumni Center. Parents, teachers, counselors and college advisers are also welcome to attend.

The Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Graduate Seminar will host “Hardware Security at a Glance: Attacks and Defenses” at 5 p.m. Monday (Oct. 10) in Room 135, Advanced Engineering Research Building.

Beginning today (Oct. 6), the Davis College Store will sell mums and pumpkins and offer 75% off nursery stock plants. Shoppers can also purchase ornamental winter kale, winter pansies, apples and Asian pears, along with wool blankets from WVU Organic Research Farm.

West Virginia U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito delivered the Poundstone Lecture as part of  the WVU Department of Mining Engineering’s William N. Poundstone Lecture Series. Capito is the first woman selected to deliver the Poundstone Lecture.
