A team of international researchers, including Shawaiz Tabassum, a graduate research assistant in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, has made headlines by identifying seven rare stellar binary systems in which one of the members, a pulsar, is eclipsed by its stellar companion.

WVU Libraries is offering workshops on learning how to use open-source or widely available software for data analysis and visualization. This spring, a series will focus on R and RStudio, including two special workshops on applying the knowledge acquired to perform special functions.
The four-year study, led by Melissa Ventura Marra, associate professor in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, is funded by a $969,631 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
