Sunidhi Mehta, assistant professor of fashion merchandising in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, is leading a team of researchers looking at ways to recycle textiles from mattresses to create a material that could eventually be used to create biodegradable products, potential replacements for single-use plastics.

Pete Dye Golf Course  

The Mountaineers will open the fall season at The Gopher Invitational at Windsong Farm Golf Club in Maple Plain, Minnesota, on Sept. 11-12. The 2023 spring season begins at the Arizona Intercollegiate at the Tucson Country Club on Jan. 23-24.

Adam Burchell  

Fifth-year senior forward Adam Burchell of the WVU men's soccer team travels to Jerusalem, Israel, to play in the 2022 Maccabiah Games with the Maccabi Great Britain Football Team. Commonly referred to as the "Jewish Olympics," the 21st edition of the event runs from July 12-26, with around 10,000 athletes expected to participate.

Media Day 2022  

Coach Neal Brown and players Bryce Ford-Wheaton, Zach Frazier, Dante Stills and Charles Woods will be participating in day one of the Big 12 Media Days held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, July 13 and 14.

Core Arboretum  

The WVU community is welcome to attend a Nature Connection Series talk at the Core Arboretum’s woodland amphitheater today (July 12) at 6 p.m. This week's speaker is Samantha Moyers, Ph.D. candidate at the WVU School of Public Health, and her talk is titled “Spending Time in Nature for Human Health.”
