Statler Drone  

Through a 21-month, $300,000 project with funding from the Small Business Innovation Research of the U.S. Air Force Laboratory and in partnership with Kinnami Software Corporation, engineers in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources are making it possible for combat search and rescue operations to pinpoint isolated personnel without using radio GPS that can be intercepted.

In an effort to simplify and standardize the process for students, faculty and staff to update their personal information with West Virginia University (e.g., legal name, date of birth, home address, Social Security number, etc.), WVU has transitioned to a single request form, effective today (July 15).

To accommodate seal coating and painting in parking areas, parking lot ST-1 at the WVU Art Museum on the Evansdale campus will be closed today (July 15). In addition, parking lot ST-9 at Evansdale Crossing will be closed for this maintenance on Wednesday (July 20).
