Leveraging the power of social media, a new study led by the College of Applied Human Sciences will investigate the feasibility and impact of a physical activity and sleep intervention for adults ages 50-65 in private Facebook groups.

Alexander Flasch  

Research carried out by engineering student Alexander Flasch focused on the design and development of a gripper for produce growing on trees. The robotic gripper was tested on its capability to grip varying diameters of fruits and vegetables with the goal of potentially eliminating human labor and make harvesting automated.

Three Minute Thesis  

The Office of Graduate Education and Life invites the public to attend the 2023 Three-Minute Thesis Grand Finale at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

The Office of Undergraduate Research is seeking judges for the seventh annual Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium slated for Sunday, April 23, at the Mountainlair.

Undergraduate researcher Madison Lindung, a forensic chemistry major, carried out a study to understand how gunshot residue particles persist over time, what activities influence the loss of GSR and what activities can produce a transfer from a shooter’s hand or clothing to a secondary surface.
