Foundation Board of Directors  

Three WVU alumni with successful careers in business and law were elected to the WVU Foundation Board of Directors at its annual meeting. Serving three-year terms are George Bicher of Greenwich, Connecticut, Brad Ritchie of Charleston and Judge Roderick Young of Richmond, Virginia.

Yall means all  

Commissioners are charged with the identification of barriers that inhibit the full inclusion and advancement of persons from underrepresented and/or underserved populations, namely LGBTQ+ and gender diverse people, in order to forward innovative, evidence-informed recommendations that support the creation of an inclusive and welcoming campus and community.

Peter Giacobbi  

Peter Giacobbi, professor in the College of Applied Human Sciences and a member of the School of Public Health, is collaborating with research colleagues from the University of Arizona, the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York, and West Virginia’s First Choice Services to launch the Be Smoke Free project.

WVU Research Computing will host a three-day workshop on deep learning August 8-10. Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend either online or in person. The workshop is not oriented toward specialists in computer science or leading-edge researchers in the area.
