Rachel Morris from Charleston, Meagan Walker from Weston, and Teagan Kuzniar and Ellena Gemmen from Morgantown are joining an elite group of researchers from across the United States as recipients of National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships. Each will receive a three-year annual stipend of $37,000 and access to a wide range of professional development opportunities while pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees.

Faculty and staff are asked to encourage their undergraduate researchers to submit abstracts for the 16th annual Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium scheduled to take place July 27 at the Mountainlair.
The Huron Research Suite will replace WVU+kc (Kuali) for proposal submission, award management, protocol management, conflict of interest and more. The WVU Research Office, Information Technology Services and other partners across the University will begin implementation this year.
Discoveries by WVU forensic scientists about how gunshot residue behaves on skin, hair and fabric will allow crime scene investigators to catch up to the proliferation of new, eco-friendly types of ammunition and make faster, more informed decisions at crime scenes and in forensic laboratories.
