The West Virginia University Board of Governors voted unanimously Monday (July 31) to extend President Gordon Gee’s contract one year through June 30, 2025. The decision came after Board members reviewed Gee’s performance in areas such as student success, research, health and welfare, and the University's role in the state’s economic development.

Reed College of Media students helped students from Bellaire High School with a year-long photography project to document and explore their surrounding community. Teaching Associate Professor David Smith led the independent study course along with Rebecca Kiger, photojournalist and artist-in-residence at Bellaire High School.
The Longitudinal Teaching Scholars Program is an online course focused on developing educational theories and technologies, as well as promoting educational skills, critical thinking and innovative approaches among WVU Health Sciences Center faculty.
