WVU and the College of Applied Human Sciences will partner with Brigham Young University to host a book drive at a service tailgate prior to the football game between the Mountaineers and Cougars on Saturday, Nov. 4.

While solutions for addressing the opioid crisis often involve either beefing up law enforcement or widening the scope of health services, WVU researchers said they believe the best approach is a synergistic mix of both. To illustrate which policies and strategies have been successful and to generate ideas for addressing the epidemic, they’re setting out to collect data from all 55 counties and 233 municipalities throughout West Virginia with funding from the National Science Foundation.

Womens Basketball  

The Mountaineers will play 25 of their regular season contests on Big 12 Now on ESPN+, including all home nonconference and all Big 12 Conference games. West Virginia's three games at the San Juan Shootout from Nov. 23-25 will be available on FloSports.

Volleyball  

The volleyball team is traveling to Orlando, Florida, for a match against UCF at 7 p.m. this evening (Oct. 11) at The Venue at UCF.

The opening reception will be held during the October Arts Walk from 6-9 p.m. Friday (Oct. 13) at the gallery at Andrew White Guitars, 198 Foundry Street. “Echoes in the Mountains” reflects the connections between artists and their communities.
