A group of undergraduate nursing students at the School of Nursing Beckley Campus recently formed a new student organization focused on supporting and improving holistic health in southern West Virginia.
Faculty and student researchers at WVU and any other university or college in West Virginia can now request access to the new high performance computing cluster Dolly Sods. This graphic processing unit cluster is ideal for supporting specific computational tasks requiring extra speed and power, such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, molecular dynamics for materials and drug discovery, image and video processing, and training neural networks.
The School of Medicine divisions of Exercise Physiology and Physical Therapy faculty and students are recruiting participants between the ages of 25 and 65 who do not have a diagnosed neurological condition for a research study exploring early risk factors for falling.

Fifth-year seniors Kayza Massey and Julianne Vallerand with the women's soccer team collected a pair of Big 12 Conference weekly awards. Massey was tabbed the Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time in her career while Vallerand earned her first career weekly conference honor as the Big 12 Defender of the Week.
