The WVU golf team will make its first NCAA Championships appearance since 1947 beginning today (May 24) at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. The Mountaineers will be grouped with Clemson and Utah.

The baseball team fell to Kansas State, 8-4, on Wednesday at Globe Life Field in an elimination game. The Mountaineers fall to 33-22 while the Wildcats go to 32-23.
The WVU baseball team dropped its opening game to TCU, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon at Globe Life Field. The No. 4 seed Mountaineers will now face No. 6 seed Kansas State at 10 a.m. today (May 22) in an elimination game.
The first pitch from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today (May 21). The game will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Mountaineers Sports Network on all radio affiliates as well as the Varsity Network, WVU Gameday App and WVUSports.com.
Junior infielder JJ Wetherholt and senior pitcher Derek Clark were both named to the first team while senior infielder Reed Chumley earned a spot on the second team. Junior Aidan Major, junior Kyle West and sophomore Sam White all earned honorable mention status.
The Mountaineers tied for third place at the NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional to advance to the NCAA Championship from May 24-29 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California. It will be WVU's first appearance in the NCAA Golf Championship since 1947.
