Graduate student Olivia Whittington spent her summer conducting cutting-edge research at the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory in Groton, Connecticut. She was one of only four college students chosen for her specific lab within the competitive Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program.

One of the most highly-cited journals in urban and regional research, planning, geography and the environment, the Journal of Regional Science has been publishing original analytical research at the intersection of economics and quantitative geography since 1958.
All undergraduate students, especially underrepresented and non-traditional students, and those who would not otherwise be engaged in STEM, will be offered new opportunities for research thanks to the “Magnetic Analysis and Measurement Project” created by professor Mikel Holcomb who was awarded $400,000 from the National Science Foundation to help advance undergraduate research at WVU.
