The baseball team is back in action today (April 30) for the second edition of the Backyard Brawl this season. First pitch is 7 p.m. at PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Junior Kyle West with the baseball team has been named Student-Athlete of the Week after swinging a hot bat for the Mountaineers in a three-game sweep over Baylor. He had multiple hits and at least one RBI in all three games, hitting home runs Friday (April 26) and Saturday (April 27).
The baseball team earned its third sweep in the last four weekends with a 13-4 victory over Baylor Sunday (April 28) at Kendrick Family Ballpark. WVU returns to action Tuesday (April 30) on the road against Pitt at PNC Park. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
A crowd of 18,540 was announced for Saturday’s (April 27) game at Milan Puskar Stadium. A portion of the proceeds will benefit WVU Medicine Children’s.
Kickoff is set for noon tomorrow (April 27) at Milan Puskar Stadium. Admission is free, but all fans must claim general admission tickets in advance. Gates open at 9 a.m. at Almost Heaven Village, located on the east side of the stadium. A free concert with Huey Mack begins at 10:30 a.m.
The baseball team is back at home this weekend for a three-game series with Baylor at Kendrick Family Ballpark. First pitch is 6:30 p.m. tonight (April 26), 4 p.m. Saturday (April 27) and 11 a.m. Sunday (April 28).
