Yaa Gyasi’s “Transcendent Kingdom” tells the story of a Ghanaian family living in Alabama that is deeply affected by addiction and depression. Now in its seventh year, the Campus Read provides opportunities to engage the campus, particularly first-year freshmen, in a year-long discussion about the themes of a single book.
Shoppers can purchase Easter lilies grown by students enrolled in HORT 445 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today (April 5) and Thursday (April 6). Each lily is $8 and includes a pot cover.
The lecture will be delivered in person at 12:30 p.m. Thursday (April 6) in the Canady Creative Art Center’s Davis Theater. A live stream will also be available on YouTube.
The graduate certificate offers a cross-disciplinary approach to learning about how gender, class, race, ethnicity, age, sexualities and sexual identities shape experience and reflect societal constructs.
Hosted by the WVU School of Nursing Keyser Campus, students heard tips for success as they transition from student to graduate, then rotated through stations to discuss employment opportunities among area health facilities.
