Team Honors  

The College Sports Communicators announced the 2024 Academic All-District At-Large Teams which featured WVU coxswain Emily DeGlopper who graduated with a degree in exercise physiology and rower Ryleigh Williams who earned a master’s degree in accounting.

WVU Coliseum  

The Mountaineers kick off the new season at the Wake Forest Invitational from Aug. 30-Sept. 1 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and begin the 2024 campaign versus Navy at 3 p.m. on Aug. 30.

Ceili McCabe  

Senior Ceili McCabe with the track and field team qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase during the Canadian Athletics Bell Track and Field Championships in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Randy Mazey’s final season coaching the baseball team ended with the Mountaineers ranked 13th in polls conducted by Baseball America, D1 Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. The team was also 15th in Perfect Game’s Top 25 and 17th in the final USA Today Coaches Poll.

Track Trio  

Ceili McCabe and Cassandra Williamson are slated for the Canadian Athletics Bell Track and Field Championships through today (June 28), and Sarah Tait will compete in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase final on Saturday (June 29) at the British UK Athletics Championships Manchester.

Tom Ostrom  

Men's basketball coach Darian DeVries has announced the hiring of Tom Ostrom as an assistant coach. Ostrom, who has more than 25 years of collegiate coaching experience, spent the last two seasons at Drake.
