The Mountaineers will play host to Iona on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and to Mercyhurst on Sunday, Dec. 22. It will be the first meeting for WVU against both schools.

Redshirt senior Mikenna Vanderheyden with the track and field team competed in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on Thursday (June 6). Vanderheyden ran for a personal best time of 9:59.90, claiming eighth place in the second heat of the event.
Fresh off its first NCAA Regional title, the baseball team will head to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for the NCAA Super Regionals. The best-of-three series begins at 6 p.m. Friday (June 7).
Baseball junior Brodie Kresser and sophomore Logan Sauve have been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators. Kresser is a sport management major with a 3.73 GPA while Sauve is studying finance and has a 3.61 GPA.
Wren Baker's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has quietly put together one of the most successful sports seasons in school history, and when this year's final chapter is written later this month, it could be just as impressive.
