The search for the University’s next vice president for research is progressing as planned.
The search committee — led by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Beverly Wendland and search firm Isaacson, Miller — has selected candidates to visit campus.
Campus community members are encouraged to mark their calendars for candidate public presentations on the following days:
Thursday, Oct. 1, 1:30-2:30 p.m., Erickson Alumni Center, Ballroom
Friday, Oct. 2, 2:45-3:45 p.m., Ming Hsieh Hall, Room G21
Tuesday, Oct. 6: 2-3 p.m., Erickson Alumni Center, Barnette Room
Each candidate will be announced the day prior to their visit via ENews. The announcement will include the candidate’s CV and a Zoom link for their presentation for those who prefer a virtual option.
The new VPR is a key member of the President’s executive leadership team who will focus on elevating and expanding University-wide research infrastructure and high-impact research output.
The search committee includes faculty, staff, students, and administrators with keen knowledge of the University’s R&D portfolio.
