In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, President Michael T. Benson will host a public conversation with Walter Washington, a direct descendant of President George Washington’s younger brother, Samuel.
Together, they will explore the Washington family’s deep ties to present-day West Virginia and reflect on their lasting influence on both the state and country.
The event will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, in the Downtown Library, Milano Reading Room.
The University community is invited to attend.
