The University community is invited to a celebration for outgoing interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Paul Kreider from 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday (June 9) at the Erickson Alumni Center, Kennedy Club Room.
Kreider, who has served as interim provost since October 2024, will end his time in the role on June 30.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP.
Prior to being named interim provost, Kreider served as associate provost for undergraduate education in 2017 and then vice provost in 2019, when he began managing the strategic direction of education throughout the WVU System.
In March 2024, Kreider also stepped up to serve as interim campus president of WVU Potomac State College, balancing his time between Morgantown and Keyser.
Kreider joined the University as dean of what is now the College of Creative Arts and Media in July 2011. While there, he enriched the College’s curriculum by adding several academic programs, including musical theatre, music industry, music therapy and dance. He also significantly enhanced the College’s facilities.
Beverly Wendland, whose hiring was announced in January, will officially take over as provost and vice president for academic affairs on July 1.
