WVU launches search for next vice president for research

West Virginia University is officially launching the search for our next vice president for research.

As a key member of the president’s executive leadership team, the next VPR will focus on elevating and expanding University-wide research infrastructure and high-impact research output.

Incoming Provost Beverly Wendland is chairing the search committee, which includes faculty, staff, students and administrators with keen knowledge of the University’s R&D portfolio.

The search committee is working with Isaacson, Miller, a full-service search firm, to help recruit, vet and fill this position.  

Input from the WVU community is critical to a successful search. Please take the time to complete a brief survey to share your perspectives on the qualifications and expectations for this position. Your feedback will be reviewed carefully while protecting confidentiality.

Isaacson, Miller and the search committee also are seeking input from a range of leaders, especially those connected to research.
