The WVU Bookstore’s First Day Complete program will launch on July 6 for the Fall 2026 semester. The program supplies all undergraduate students with their required course materials for a low, flat-rate price.

This program provides a lower-cost, lower-stress approach to obtaining required textbooks and other course materials, including lab manuals, access codes and digital textbooks provided on a rental basis.

Students who participated in First Day Complete during the 2025-26 academic year saved an average of 24% on course materials, and since the program launched in Fall 2024, students have saved $4.63 million.

Faculty and instructors are reminded to identify their course materials as soon as possible if they have not already submitted them by the April 1 deadline. This information provides students with an accurate picture of anticipated textbook costs for Fall 2026 and whether to participate in First Day Complete.

Submitting your course materials also ensures that your required materials are automatically provided to students through the First Day Complete program, improving the effectiveness of the program.

Course material adoptions must be submitted for each course in every instance, including:

  • Re-adoption of the same textbooks/materials already used for a course.

  • Changes to textbooks/materials.

  • Not requiring textbooks/materials.

To submit and confirm Fall 2026 textbook information, faculty/instructors should visit the Adoption Insight Portal as soon as possible accessible through the WVU Portal
