Ainsley Meadows, a student life social media specialist for Strategic Communications and Marketing, has been selected for the April Non-Classified Staff Salute.

In her role, the Milton native manages the Division of Student Life social media platforms, crafting content designed to boost student engagement outside the classroom.

“I was drawn to this role because it allows me to help connect students with communities that are unique to their wants and needs,” she said. “As a recent graduate, I know that a sense of belonging plays such an important role in the college experience, and it’s incredibly rewarding to help students find their place on campus.”

A May 2025 graduate with dual bachelor’s degrees in advertising and dance and a minor in photography, Meadows worked as a fitness instructor at the Student Rec Center during her undergraduate years.

“My college experience was defined by the communities that I was involved in, and now I am excited to help students discover theirs,” she said. “I love playing a role in helping them feel at home at WVU.”

Meadows, who spends much of her workday on campus engaging with students, said, “Immersing myself with students helps me capture their perspective in a genuine way, making them feel seen and appreciated.”

Although she is known for her digital photography, she began with old school film and still enjoys developing and scanning her photos.

“Some may view film photography as outdated, but I believe that learning about the history of photography is essential to understanding why it’s such a valuable medium today,” she said. “My background gives me a unique edge in capturing moments that define the Mountaineer experience.”

A ballet dancer for almost two decades, Meadows enjoys hiking and playing guitar in her spare time.
