The City of Morgantown invites volunteers and organizations to participate in the 2026 Spring Cleanup Day from 9 a.m. to noon April 25.
Participants will be assigned to various locations throughout Downtown Morgantown, the Wharf District and other surrounding areas to pick up litter, mow medians, clear brush and more.
Upon arrival, volunteers will meet along Chancery Row, located next to the Monongalia County Courthouse, for a brief safety orientation before dispersing to their assigned locations.
All necessary safety gear, including vests, gloves and equipment will be provided by the City of Morgantown.
“This is a great opportunity to not only clean up some of the main corridors of our downtown, but also meet new people, work together and engage with others in the community,” Community Development Manager Caitlyn Lewis said.
Participants should be properly prepared by wearing long sleeves, long pants and sturdy shoes. Bringing sunscreen and water is also strongly recommended.
The event will take place rain or shine. No prior registration is required to participate.
