The two-year project to move from outdated Cisco hardware to Zoom Phone is now in its final months.
The Keyser and Beckley campuses, as well as the Downtown and Evansdale areas of campus in Morgantown, have already made the switch. The Health Sciences area of campus migration began in February and will continue throughout the early summer.
The University’s Cisco Phone service will be disconnected in July.
If you are in a unit outside the Health Sciences area of campus which is still migrating, and you are still using a Cisco desk phone or Jabber, ITS needs to know as soon as possible so you do not lose phone service when Cisco is discontinued this summer.
If you are still using Jabber or a Cisco Phone, please submit a ticket with the Telecommunications team for assistance. A WVU login is required.
Each unit is responsible for working with the WVU surplus program to dispose of their old Cisco phones. Review this article in the IT Help Center for more information.
