The community is invited to attend “Focus Forward: Minds and Machines” April 1 at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place.
The conference will bring together more than 500 leaders, educators, students and professionals to explore how artificial intelligence, robots, machines and new technology are shaping the economy, work, education, policy and even how we develop as humans.
New this year, conference attendees will have the opportunity to apply for two grants of up to $10,000, supported by the West Virginia Public Education Collaborative and the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation. The funding is intended to help turn ideas into reality.
Projects may explore any topic covered during the conference, including education, workforce development, research, community and more. The opportunity is intentionally broad and open to collaboration, allowing participants to advance new or interdisciplinary ideas connected to the conference’s themes.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend and to share the opportunity with their classes to support student participation. The event offers students a chance to connect with leaders and peers across fields, collaborate on ideas and explore how they can help shape the future of technology and society.
