Learn about updated stipend guidelines and procedures Nov. 20

As part of the continuing efforts to inform faculty and staff on upcoming procedural changes, the WVU Tax Services and Student Financial Services teams will hold an information session on the updated stipend guidelines at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 20) on Zoom. 

Attendees will also learn about the newly adopted WVU BOG Stipend Policy and a new stipend payment approval process that will be implemented effective Dec. 1.

These updated guidelines and procedures come in part from recommendations made by Internal Audit and reflect the University’s continued compliance efforts for both financial aid and tax reporting purposes. 

It is important that all departments who make stipend payments of any kind attend a group meeting if possible and then review and implement the updated guidelines.  

This session is open to the campus community, including all University departments and campuses, and the WVU Research Corporation.

There is an established agenda for this meeting; however, we plan to allow time for questions and feedback regarding the changes.
