Farewell celebration planned for Sheena Murphy

The WVU community is invited to celebrate and thank Sheena Murphy for her more than 10 years of service as associate vice president for research development from 3-5 p.m. Thursday (June 18) at Black Bear Burritos.

An expert in condensed matter physics, Murphy is set to begin her new role as vice president for research at the University of Binghamton.

Murphy is a physics professor and an expert in low temperature, high magnetic field studies of two-dimensional electronic systems. She is also the recipient of more than $20 million in external funding.
