The Morris L. Hayhurst LaunchLab, in partnership with the West Virginia Small Business Development Center, is hosting drop-in startup support sessions from noon to 1 p.m. every Tuesday through Aug. 4 at Evansdale Crossing, Suite 413.
A short lesson on starting or growing a venture will kick off each session before opening the floor to participants. Topics rotate weekly and cover practical ground, including customer research, business models and how to test whether an idea is worth pursuing.
Sessions are free and no experience or business is required. You don’t need to be an entrepreneur to find this useful. The skills taught also apply to research projects, side projects and career planning.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to bring half-formed ideas and come curious.
